As someone who struggles with adult ADHD, I’m constantly trying new ways to bypass medications and the negative side effects that come with them. One of the things Holistic Nutrition has enabled me to do is find new holistic ways to treat my ADHD.
Bulletproof coffee is one of the things I have found to help me focus. My recipe has become a bit extravagant but I love it and it definitely helps me focus at work without medication. Here it is 🙂
Bonus: This recipe is loaded with protein, fiber, and allll the healthy fats. So it often doubles as my breakfast!
Side note: I’m also trying Gotu Kola capsules right now to help with my ADHD. It’s an adaptogen, which basically means it’s magic. And I also take E3Live E3AFA capsules, but when I had it in powder form, I added it to my bulletproof coffee.
Ingredients(makes 2 servings):
3 cups filtered water + 6 teaspoons organic instant coffee
3 teaspoons hemp hearts
2 scoops Vital Proteins Marine Collagen
1 tablespoon Fourth & Heart Vanilla Ghee
1-2 teaspoons Bulletproof Brain Octane Oil
1/4 teaspoon Sun Potion Ashwagandha
1/4 teaspoon Sun Potion Cordyceps
1/4 teaspoon Sun Potion He Shou Wu
Bonus: 1-2 scoops E3Live E3AFA powder (right now I’m taking the capsules, but when I had the powder, I added that to my bulletproof coffee. It made the coffee green, but helped with focus.)
First, I blend the coffee, water & hemp hearts in my Vitamix for 5 minutes to heat it up. Skip this step if you are starting with warm coffee.
Then I add everything else and blend until nice and frothy.
Pour into my Healthy Human and take to work with me 🙂
